After the debut of the FPV GT at the Sydney motorshow in 2002, we (FordForums) no doubt had some kind of effect on the final details of the car. (In particular, the adding of the stripes) We also talked about the adding of the red HO badge to the grill (if there ever is a HO) and now this is evident with the F6!

Now we have a different kind of beast that is in the same stage of release. FPV will be looking for people's opinions on what should be ammended to the F6.

I personally wouldn't mind seeing this beast gain the ford v8 bulge and an air vent similiar to the bmw m3

So what if the bulge is just cosmetics for the F6 - everybody agrees that the F6 should have a little something more to help make it look more aggressive.

Do you guys/gals agree with the bonnet changes?
What else?

think the bulge should stay on the V8's only. wouldn't mind seeing a more aggressive body kit tho. maybe bonnet scoop and air vents (only if functional tho, nothing rice

I think Ford have gone past the stage of figuring out what the F6 will look like and how it will go, If anything, our constant thirst for power has driven them to come up with what I think is close to the most powerful 6cyl available in Aus!
but it seems obvious that they do take in some of what we discuss on this forum and that's a good thing

Maybe something like the EL Xr's had two Vents on each Side, different design but the same thing inprinciple.

^^^^^^^ What he said - that would be good for removing hot air from under the bonnet!

Definitely no bulge (should be a V8 thing only - sorry JR).

Are there any shots of the Typhoon around. Among the many other things I didn't get to while in Melbourne, the MMS was one.

As for other changes - what about a decent name? Typhoon is just crap. Why not just FPV T6 (although isn't T6 a gearbox?).

what about some vents on the sides of the guards like in the 70,s......no wait thats too holden lol. seriously though something different needs to be done to fully distinguish this car from the other 6,s and also V8,s.

I'm not a great fan of the wheels on the concept car

I'd personally like to see a good clean set of 5 or 6 spokers on it, perhaps have a little dish in the wheels as well?

A few things:

--- I would love to see bonnet vents (that actually serve a purpose, and aren't there to rice up the car). I would think a nostril look may be good, with the design being like the /_\ look of the Dodge Viper's 1 vent. With 2 of the vents being on the Typhoon to make nostrils. /_\ <--- This look would also continue the theme of the grille pattern. And to go a step further, I think that the exhaust should look like this too...instead of (__)...just to continue the theme throughout.

--- No bonnet bulge...should just be for the Boss V8s.

--- Keep those rims...they look awesome.

That's about it. I think they got it nearly right with the concept.

No Bludge.

2 Vents on Bonnet. Funtional and aggresive.

Change exhaust TIP to a more angled design.

Keep the wheels EXACTLY the same.

Are we clear?
