does anyone know if the front bumper from the gt would go on to a xr6t. i just love the look of it, but im concerned that it wouldn,t match up properly with the side skrts that already exist on my car.anyone got any ideas?

You would probably need VIN from GT to buy one, you do just to buy a Turbo badge. It probably would look good but it's probably best left on the GT, sorta like putting a FPV badge or sticker on non-FPV car.

yeah i get your point. but i wouldn't want the fpv badge on my car at all, i just like the style of the gt bumper better. im in no way trying to mimick the gt. looking closely at the bumper i noticed a fpv badge, that i would have removed.

The price will also be ridiculously high. The standard AU II/III XR front bar is over a grand, and the Pursuit version (which has the extension grafted on) is well over two grand!

as if you would put a kit on your car from something else! :s6:
seriously though - price IS your main concern, the genuine T3 front bumper from ford was like $5000, im assuming GT would be the same, if you REALLY wanna do it (IMO xr one looks hot already) wait until a copy is available!
i think i might give it a miss. i didnt want the whole kit i just like the shape of the gt bumper and wouldnt do it if it wasnt going to look any good with the rest of the kit that my car already has. i think with these prices it wouldnt be worth it anyway.

hmmm, i think its a bit different then those vn wankrs that fit those kits to the vns. its not as if i want the whole body kit i just like the bumper. and for the last time im not trying to make my car look like a gt. and its not just the holden dorks by the way ive seen eb gt kits on six cylinder ea's. mainly from newcaslte by the way!!

And AU flacons trying to look like T series cars - where will it ever stop? That's what modding is all about - making your car a little bit individual - I reckon you should go the GT front on the XR6T. You'll fool everyone but those that really know - and those that really know will probably applaud you for being that little bit different.
