If you want the GT kit, buy a GT.
Don't make your car something that it ain't.

45,000km service coming up - and i'll be asking for a sizable list of fixes:
* Gearbox (3rd time)
* Steering click (5th time)
* Brake Shudder (2nd time, and has the applied "Fix")
* etc...

But why pretend? I mean i can understand that people that drive hondas want to 'rice it up' because they have crap cars to start with... But why attempt to turn a Turbo into a GT look-alike?
Hell for the cost of a new (or used Turbo) you could probably pick up a new/demo/used GT for the same cost as the Turbo + body kit.
Personally I just hate the look of it. Stripes on a NA BA XR6? bulges on turbos and GT wings on XT's.

it is all personal choice, who are we to tell someone else how to spend their hard earned, would you like it if you were looking for a bodykit and someone had a go at you for asking where you could get one??
maybe this fella wants a turbo 6 not a v8 but likes the look of the GT.
it is your personal choice to not like GT stuff on a xr6 etc etc, and i appreciate that, but instead of criticising someone try helping them.
All the GT bits are on restricted release. The Ford dealer who orders the bits has to provide a VIN/SIDO.
If the bits "go astray" the dealer gets their arse kicked up to loosing FPV dealership.
Ordering the complete body kit would be a bit suss and draw the crabs.
N.B. The kit is VERY expensive, $1700 for the nose bit + gst + brackets + grill + ++++++
If you want a T6 GT then why dont you buy a real one (V8) then do an engine transplant.
There seems to be a few complete XR6T drive trains floating about from wreckers etc.
Trust me you will have no trouble selling a complete BOSS 290 drive train. (I will give you $15k right now)

Here is wisdom.
Let him that hath understanding count the number of the BEAST:
for it is the number of a F6 Typhoon; and its number is 0217.
I rekon you should have a look for some aftermarket kits. I have to say I like the look of the GT better than the turbo 6 but id rather go for something original. OEM gear is usually more expensive than aftermarket and not nececarily better quality.
Be sure to post pics if you go through with it.

Just get one off www.sydneyspecialvehicles.com.au or go down to your local dealer, right down the VIN off a GT and walk into spare parts - most dealers dont give a shita bout the VIN and usually will go and get u the VIN number neways if they are going to make a bit of cash. As for the rest of you wingers get over it! If Ford brought out a GT in a standard 182 motor they would sell them like hotcakes, even if they had a $55,000 price range id buy one for sure, atleast you wouldnt have an oilburner wouldya!
