I'm new to the forum but have learnt alot so far. I have just ordered a xr6t ute, lighting strike. Is the fabric protector / paint protector worth getting? what fuel per 100ks should I expect just as a guide. Already have a 98 au xr6 vct sedan, holes in zorst and ordering DEV1, race series extractors, plugs, leads and cold air intake. JMM tell me I should get 142 -148 atw, is this accurate? Thanks in advance.

thanks tornado, I will look at the edit once I get the ute. But is the paint & fabric protector worth getting? Fuel economy roughly?

In regards to the paint and Fabric protection, it all depends. If you wash you’re car every week and wax it say every 3 months, I wouldn't bother with the paint protection. If you don't well it's not a bad option. I have had cars with the paint protection and without. One thing I have noticed with paint protection is after you wash the car, the colour is very clear and bright / vivid. But again nothing a wax won't fix. I do recommend the fabric protection though.
I am not sure if you are going with you're dealer for the paint and fabric protection, but you may find going direct will save you $$$ (unless they are running some promotion).

A can of Scotchbrite fabric protector approx $12, can of good quality carnauba wax $35. Fabric and paint protection from the dealer hundreds of $$$$$$$$$$$, in a nutshell NAH, except if you were going to keep the car more than 5 years

I get 10 l per 100km on a trip and about 13.5l per 100km around town. When I first got it I got 17l per 100km - enjoying the power.
