Hi Guys,
i have a december 03 XR6 T.......with a red rocker cover, is this Standard?
i have seen a standard XR6 with a silver rocker cover, and a Typhoon with a blue finish..is there a standard?

Also thinking about fitting a herrod short shift kit and lowering kit, before the big 330kw tickle anyones thoughts?

You have answered your own question.
Std Falcons have silver rocker cover including XR6.
XR6T has red rocker cover.
Typhoon(FPV) has blue rocker cover.

Thanks.....my friend keeps winding me up that a Holden lover has painted it...any reason for the colour choice?

Don't know reason for color choice, but all xr6 have had red rocker covers from EB on.

Edit: With the exception of the BA/BF which now have red only on Turbo 6

Big Block Ford

Alot of the Ford engines have had red rocker covers through the years.

Blue ,Red ,Silver and Black have been common on different engine sizes and spec's.
