imho suggest you keep the mineral oil up to her till the oil consumption question is settled and you get to a point where she does not use oil. If its still bedding in and you change away from mineral you will effectively halt the bed in process with synthetic. I had them drop the oil and change the filter at the 3000km service and refill with mineral in my F6. I plan to drop the mineral at 7000Km for synthetic. My F6 has used less than 250mls in 5500Km so hope your oil consumption stabilises quickly.

Cheers
Craig
Yep... Ditto, Ditto, Ditto.
I was planning on exactly the same regime; change oil and filter at 3k, stay with mineral oil till approx 7.5k then change again for synthetic.

I've got to agree with you blokes about "taking the long way home" :o))
I was so determined to keep the k's off the car as much as possible but geeeeeeeees its a bluddy hard car NOT to drive!

One thing that surprises me is the number of people who come up to me and ask me about the car. They recognise it as being something different, but very few people seem to know about it. One bloke even accused me of trying to modify an XR6 to make it look like a GT-P!

(^ NOTE to FPV: Where's this advertising campaign? Apart from adds in Motor and Wheels I've seen nothing).

Re: Holidays in a Typhoon

I've done 1500km in mine and I agree its a pleasure to drive on the freeway.

Its great to come across some owners who appreciate this great vehicle.

I am going to check the oil level right now as I haven't checked it since new.
