This is related to my thread in Aussie Cars Forum.... no-one has replied there, so I am hoping someone here can give me some idea.
Another thread on this forum I mentioned my clutch having shat itself. I need to replace it soon and I would like to get a better one - one that can handle my apparent punishment
I know that getting a stronger clutch might cause dramas with my T5, but my thoughts are that if the T5 in the T can handle a stronger clutch, then mine can too.
I have no idea how much it costs to have a clutch replaced or how much an upgrade would cost so if anyone has any ideas here, I would appreciate it. Even price ranges or rough estimates would be fine.
Cheers

This may not be constructive, but my previous car a Front wheel drive Pulsar SSS clutch replacement cost $700. Most of that was for the labour (and FWD are more of a pain to work on that the RWD falcons).
I'd be guessing maybe Maybe the $500+ mark (I'd more than likely think $600-$800), but don't quote me on that. Certainly not the cheapest repair on the car. I'm just guessing here, but I think it's close to that.

Thanks for that! Yeah, it turns out that the pressure plates are gone and that Ford should replace those. There are a couple possibilities why, today it had its service and the thing is leaking stuff all over the place, including gearbox oil - there is some thought that oil got into the clutch, either that, or damaged/busted springs....
So it won't cost me a cent, if I have my way!!!
