OMFG these are beautiful cars! The bloody saleslug(TM) came along with me so I couldn't give it too much stick (only had 27km on the clock anyway...) but it goes like stink up to 3000rpm, pulls like a teenage boy on steroids...farking XR8 must hammer...can't even imagine a FPV GT! Must have one...soon...going through withdrawals...it's been 20 minutes since I drove it...aaaaarrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhh
Well done to GP and friends for producing such a great car!
Did I mention I'm excited?!

Originally posted by Carby Wonder if the XR8 or GT would be worth the extra dough when the XR6T is such a honey and potentially future mods may be relatively easy!
What kind of statment is that?
The XR8 and the GT are going to be that much better. The performance of the XR6 Turbo is not the limit.
i went down to Q ford today and had a look theyve got a Phantom Xr6 turbo. i was looking at it and the sales rep came out and unlocked it to put something in the boot and all i could think was "Lucky bastard, Lucky bastard"

I drove one from Bungendore to the Federal Highway,(for those that know the area) as part of a Ford drive day, I agree, it was mighty impressive even though I only sunk the boot in hard on one occasion. The 5.4 Ghia was damn nice as well.
After driving most models of the Fords and Holdens at Industry Drive days I really believe that GM have at last got some real competition! (thats not to say that I don't like my AU)
I just hope that Ford don't rest on their laurels and allow the dark side to gain the upper hand again!!! (are u listening Uncle Geoff and Co???)
