Looking at purchasing a xr6t Auto in the near future.
I would like just a little more power 10-20rwkw.
What would be the easiest and cheepest thing I can do? can I just get the boost on the turbo tweeked up a bit?? I dont want to do to much for warranty reasons and no exhaust work will be done, only putting a K/N filter in.

Edit, 8PSI, and dont worry about the custom tune
If you want more, work up from there.

Edit 8psi and WORRY about the custom tune, the tune in the box is useless and lumpy, it will feel surgy and horrible. Get a custom tune and you'll make over 40rwkw gains or 60kw engine gains.
You can get intakes and exhausts that make superficial gains, but you won't feel any difference (except the lighter wallet). The edit alone will show the short comings of all the stock components, mosy notably the injectors.
It will cost you the same to get a 60kw gain as it would to get a 20kw gain, might as well go all the way and 'feel' something useful.
Cheers Guys, so an edit it the best way with a tune.
Can I have this tuned down a little? as I feel 60kw more is to much for an
auto and dont want to shorten the life of the engine 2 much.
Can I have an edit tuned to about 40fwkws.
Also is there an edit that will allow me to have a switch, so I can drive around with stock power and fuel economy and when I need it switch on the extra power.
Also can this be done for under 2K
Cheers

You can have the edit tuned to whatever you desire, but there is no switch to allow you to changes maps in an instant but you can swap between your standard and custom maps within a couple of mins. Checkout the xtreme forum on the site for more details and yes wont cost you more than 2k.

Just get a custom 8psi, it will make around 300kw and is safe as houses. Fuel consumption won't change unless you live in the boost all day long (which I know you don't judging by your aims at small gains).
I average 10s on the highway and 12s for city with 240rwkw (300kw), car feel exactly the same, but when on boost its about 20% more pull.
If you aim for only a few kw you won't even feel it, and on a hot day with the a/c on you'll more or less feel normal. So you'll waste your money.
Bascially, the lowest tune you can get is a custom 8psi, anything lower is stock so you migh as well send me all your money instead. It would be just as useful. Trust me, cutom 8psi is every bit as good as a custom 10 only it revs all the way out to 6250rpm instead of running out of fuel at 5000rpm and dieing in the arse.
It won't hurt the auto and the intercooler, valve springs, and injectors will cope fine.
cheers guys, Sounds like an edit is the way to go, now for which one to go for???
I'll look up the xtreme for that one.
but intersting that you can 300kw with 8psi and that the typhoon gets only 270kw with using 9psi.

Thats an easy one to answer and it explains how the XR^ can have a 'flat' torque 'curve'.
THe XR6 runs on 6psi but only makes that at a low 2500rpm, by 5500rpm its only using 4psi or less.
The F6 runs on 9psi but only makes that at a low 2500rpm, by 5500rpm its only running on 6psi.
The edit makes 8psi at 2000rpm and is still making 8psi or a little more at 5500rpm. Same goes for the 10psi, only it takes until 3500rpm to build 10psi with stock induction and exhaust system.
You have basically double the boost up top with edit, and 30% more than the F6 at the same speed. Cool huh?
