Sold me Yoot,

Why would you then even spend the extra cash for the F6?

Re: Just want small gains 10-20rwkw

I currently run an edited T with 280+RWKW, a T5 gearbox and will update to a new car shortly.

The reason I am considering the F6 is that it has a stronger internals to begin with, which will help with the power levels I want to run the new car at. Moreover, it has a stronger twin plate clutch, which will help with the power delivery to the back wheels.

Since running the current power, I have blown the standard clutch (on the dyno) and a heavy duty unit (lasted about 3 weeks) in the T.

As already stated the Typhoon has some slightly beefed up engine internals to handle the extra power and the better clutch setup.

But you get so much more than an xr6t :

(might be slightly different now with the BF)

1. Bigger turbo.
2. Bigger intercooler.
3. Different body kit.
4. 18 Alloys - to die for.
5. different suspension setup.
6. better stereo. - option on xr6
7. better interior.
8. spare alloy - option on xr6
9. side airbags - option on xr6
10. better brakes.
11. Alarm system - option on xr6.
12. wheel lock nuts.
13. Dual Zone climate control.
14. Groovy starter button.
15. Data Dot ID.
16. Outside temp display.
17. Its a numbered car.
18. I'm sure I've missed stuff ??

Go to your FPV dealer and compare the xr6t to the Typhoon then ask the question again.

I thought the F6 had a different turbo - there you go.
Are the 18" wheels an option on the xr6t ? do you get lock nuts with the 17s ?

Found them on the ford web site :

18" x 8" Alloy Wheels and tyresExclusively styled by the Ford Australia Design Studio, the 18" x 8" 5 spoke alloy wheels give your XR6 a more athletic stance and are the finishing touch to its classic Motorsport styling.

Disclaimer: Available on Ford Falcon XR6 and XR6 Turbo with 245/40 ZR18 tyres.

Re: Just want small gains 10-20rwkw

Typhoon gets slightly higher boost than an xr6t (9psi vs 6psi)

18 are and option i dont know if the 17's get lock nuts as my ute had 18's when i bought it althought im not sure you would need a lock nut to protect the 17's or 18's....there as common as big toes.....

Re: Just want small gains 10-20rwkw

For just straight out more grunt, spend the $1100 on the edit and dyno run
and have you have more kw than the F6.

The big but is how long is the train and other things going to last.
Has the auto blown up as many times as the amount of clutches you guys chew through?????

How does the new 6 speed one compare? Anyone broken one of those yet???
