JUst thought I'd drop a quick line with my success story today. Got a quote for the new beast, total amount financed $67K (sheez, that hurts typing that) and insured for the same, agreed value. They did have to go to Head Office for approval.

Guess how much?

60% NCB

Advantage Driver (ie: all drivers have to be pre-nominated and must be 27+, 50% NCB+ and not contributed to an accident in the last 4 years)

10% new car discount for the first year and a replacement vehicle if written off in the same period.

Living in a 'reasonable' suburb in Perth.

I'll leave it for a few guesses then let you know.

Around 900 i'd say, who is the insurer? I found Allianz the cheapest for Perth at least.

A combination of a 2 year old Finance deal on my existing car, the options I got on this one and the trade-in price. But, all in all, I'm happy, which is all that matters.

The payments are less than $200pm more, with a 1/3 less balloon.

Thats not bad at all, to ensure a crappydore SSV8, it is at least double that, so much for the BA using $2.00 extra a week in fuel

don't know where you get the double cost for a SS V8, as I pay $70/month on a VY SS insured for $55000.. So yearly its $840.
