The latest Motor gives the Typhoon the thumbs up over the clubby. Good to see. The Clubsport was still quicker but really stuff all between them.

Yep it was a good read

I liked the paragraph's:
With that torque plateau the Typhoon’s Strength is its in-gear acceleration. While it’s out pointed to 100km/h by the more powerful Clubsport (5.82secs versus 5.96). It’ll Thump the Clubbie in any rolling start in any gear you can choose except, maybe Reverse (we didn’t try that)
Then:
There’s little in it from 40km/h at the bottom of third gear, But the Typhoon starts to get ahead from about 3800 RPM and it’s clear by a car length at the next shift.
Punch both cars from 80km/h in 6th and its just embarrassing for the HSV. It gets belted from the kick and the poleaxing gets worse with every meter traveled.

Hopefully we get more positive reports from now on like that one for the F6

Was there any 1/4 mile times? If the clubbie is quicker (just guessing), how is that explained considering the 0-100km/h times aren't that dramatically different and the F6 gets the thumbs up once rolling?

The ls2 posted a sub 14 and the F6 grabbed a 14.1 - but on the following page there was a brief article on the XR6 T vs F6 and the F6 pulled a 13.96 vs the Ts 14.5 - go figure.

Motor stated that the clubby gained .15 between 0-10km/h and never let the F6 get it back. Both cars crossed the line with only 1.2kmh difference, clubby being faster with just over 170kmh.

In regards to the xr6t vs. F6 times. If you have a look at the F6 times they are the exact times for the LS2 in the previous article (LS2 vs. F6). Looks like a cut and paste gone wrong (Used LS2 times). I would like to be proven wrong though!!!!

Yep, I think your absolutely correct; it does look like a stuff up of figures.

Fantastic to see the good press for once.... and nothing less than what the car deserves. Hopefully the past will remain as such and the F6 can go on to becoming a classic in its own right. Just as we owners who loved the typhoon concept from the outset expected it should.

All the times are correct except the 0-400 on the F6 on the XR6t/F6 comparison page which should have read 14.1
so in short the
XR6T = 14.54
F6 = 14.16
Clubbie = 13.96
