Have just ordered my Typhoon today......and can't wait!
Have pretty much read these forums top to bottom and found them very helpful in learning more about these impressive machines. Thanks to all contributors.
Through the initial problems and the good and bad press, it was the owners vibe and the performance and aura of the Typhoon that made it irresistable.
One query though........during the test drive I noticed that if given a boot full in 1st and quickly shifted to 2nd the engine would sometimes splutter or misfire for a few seconds before recovering. Pretty sure that it's related to the turbo spinning-on and dumping a heap of air and/or fuel in the engine when the throttle is reopened as my old Cordia turbo sometimes did the same. Thought it would be sorted on a car at this level though? Has anyone else noticed this?
The demo unit was a late 04 which apparently hasn't had the ECU upgrade yet. Does this make a difference with this?

haha just don't get that one mate.. but all the 05 ones you should be happy with, if not bring it back.. its there top of the line Ford so they shouldn't stuff u round.. well .. they havn't when i have had a problem..

Might have had something to do with the Traction Control being on......didn't think of that until I read your response.....I wouldn't have expected that they'd all do this?
Have seen turbo hill climb cars, etc. do a similar thing where they misfire and then come good? Thought it might have been related?
