I have APS 2 (manual) and wanted to put on a larger Intercooler (Only) sort of like a stage 2 and a half:

Does anyone know what it is worth installed? (I got quoted $3500 for an APS one with the mod to wastegate - i think that is a rip)

PWR have one for $850 plus installation and they reckon you do not need to mod the wastegate. (They had a XR6T with 300RWKW that had that cooler and had no problems)

I was hoping to spend around $1000 - $1300, i am not particully after the extra power just want to keep things cool! (Although i will probabley get a few KW's just with putting on the Intercooler)

Does anyone Know?

Which city are you in?

I spoke to the guys at F.I.S.T. performance in Brisbane yesterday, and was told that they are currently worrking with a manufacturer to develop a kit which will bolt straight in to the T.

Thie kit should also be a significantly less expensive than what you have been quoted.

That was their dual core direct replacement, that no longer exists, their new on is bigger and flows more than double that of the standard one and it bolts into the factory piping and costs about $800.

You wont go past the APS intercooler for performance and build quality. The unit required the boost kit as you can run much higher boost that phase II power with the intercooler because of its massive size.
Note that the kit also relocates the power steering cooler and various air con parts.
