There is an iteresting article about the XR6T in the latest motor mag. Peter Luxon at APS has just released a package the gives 235rwkw or 295kw with just improved engine management and bigger cats. It does 0-100 in5.39 s and 400m in 13.61 at 178.8km/h. And it costs $1590 for the engine management and $700 for the cats

Apparently they tested the turbo against the Boss 260 and GTS. (This was taken from Ls1.com.au)

XR6T : 195 rwkw (240 fwkw claimed)
XR8: 180 rwkw (260 fwkw claimed)
GTS: 240 rwkw (300 fwkw claimed)

Hmm,that means both the GTS and T have a 20% drivetrain loss and the XR8 has 30%,the only one that sounds right to me is the XR8.

Not sure where they pulled those figures from, but the XR8's figure is DEFINETLY NOT right. Many a BA XR8 has gone to the dyno and the lowest I've seen is 193rwkw and the highest stock figure was 209rwkw. Even the turbo's figure is a little down, unless it was an auto.

If that figure for the XR8 is genuine, it's either very new, of something was miss with it.

Read the article and agree it's BS about the XR8. Unless FPV are building dud engines which I doubt.

These are consistent FPV Boss V8 dyno results run on Dyno Dynamics:

Boss 260 197-205rwkw
Boss 290 218-225rwkw

You can tell the APS figures are strange because stock GTS 300 engines DO NOT run 240rwkw.

It seems a bit sus that with all the extra weight and supposed less power, the XR8 is still able to post very similar performance times to the turbo.

Great numbers for the modified Turbo. GTS performance for an absolute bargain!

The figures sound about right. Although i would have like them to post up the SS results also. ~175kw

Still, 13.6 from a mildly boosted 6T, WOW.

Once they go from mild to wild, 6T king of the quater...
