New Turbo Better Than Sex

I recently had the enormous pleasure of driving a black XR6 Turbo. It was an auto and I only drove it for about 25 minutes. I had to share it with a colleague.

I won't say how I came to drive this car because I do not want to lose any future opportunities.

All I can say is this that this is the most wicked and awesome car that both my colleague and me had ever driven and we have driven some cars.

Just to give you some idea some of the top cars my friend has driven is a currrent BMW M3, BMW 850i and a Subaru WRX STi.

I have driven the new Mini Copper S, a Mercedes S500, BMW 4.4 X5, a GEN 111 Monaro (manual) and the AU T3 (Auto).

The XR turbo has the best engine of any car that we have ever experienced. Not only did it rev unbelievably smoothly but it also revved very very quickly with no discernible turbo lag.

In our collective opinion, easily as good if not better than any of the BMW engines we had driven.

Without delving into details that could enliven the speed debate let me just say that the car was quuuuuuuiiiiiiiccccckkk !!!!

Even more amazingly the car felt stable and quiet at high speeds although while revving hard it made this amazing sound.

We did the run a few times swapping positions. In the passenger seat the car felt even quicker as it literally threw me back into the seat.

Later that day I read at Autospeed that along with the BMW M3 the Barra engine this is the world's most sophisticated engine.

The Barra Turbo engine goes one step further and is actually the most unique and advanced combination of technology anywhere.

They call it the Twenty Year Leap

Check ot out at http://www.autospeed.com/A_1523/page1.html

I was not surprised to read this and I believe it is true to the last letter.

I cannot wait for this car to be released.

Make mine a red one, no a phantom, or rather one of those yellowy ones.

It seems the turbo has gained a wide spectrum of popularity. A friend in the motor trade said that during their drive days a few weeks ago he enjoyed the turbo most.

Hmmm seems i'm leaning towards the XR6-T more and more over time compared to the XR8.

I honestly can't wait to drive an XR6-T in 5 speed.

Obviously the sex you are receiving is insignificant or non-existent. Through sex in a XR would be a new experience im sure after all a EA is fun with dodgy suspension- lol

Sex is only an issue to those not getting it, anyway yes i think the turbo engine has the potnetial to be a true weapon, soon japanese will be importing them from australia and dropping them in their skylines. A word of advice to you future xr6t owners. Just because its a turbo doesnt mean you have to rice it up with stupid stickers and lights. Keep it australian not a big rice machine.
