Lightbulb New XR6 Turbo Prices?

Hi all!

I have just returned from the local Ford dealer to get a price on a new XR6 turbo. The price that i got was $49,500 (on the road) for a manual with paint protection and a towbar. This price was for one that would be ordered in.

The intersting thing was that there was an ex-demo at the dealer that had 150kms on the clock. The dealer was willing willing to sell it too me for $46,500, with the towbar and paint protection.

What does everyone think about an ex-demo? $3000 sounds like a fair saving. The only thing I am worried about is that it may have been thrashed and not run in properly.

Welcome to Ford Forums.

Mate, the way I'd look is there is probably not going to be a problem with buying the demo, remember it will still have the balance of Ford's Factory warrenty, any prob's take 'er back and get it fixed free of charge (if its faulty).

$3,000 is a fair saving, if its the colour, desired interior and transmission you are after and you don't have a problem with a car that some else has driven before you then go for it.

I mean come on it only has 150km!

Cheers.

I'd go for it, thats a decent saving and you won't have a 3 month wait.

If the dealer is anything like my mates Ford dealership, they are particularily careful who drives the turbos (And XR8, GT's) as they are well aware of tyre kickers wanting a free squirt.

The only thing you may want to check is the build date, it may be an '02 hence the discount.

I personally would be very tempted by the demo. You save yourself a huge wait and really 150km is bugger all. Most demo's car dealers offer people usally have at least 1500km on them.

Ohh and to top it off you are saving $3000 as well! Sounds like a pretty good deal! Provided it's as Ford Grunt said, that is, it has everything you want on it.
