Re: Nice 'n' Low

Thanks for your reply's

The bump stops should have been trimmed, as I asked them to do so. The sound mainly presents itself when going up or off the drive and when slowly moving from standstill ie in trafficjam.

The overall ride is very impressive, much firmer on the road but any loss in ride comfort. Just had to make a little ramp out of pavers to get off the driveway

My neighbours must think I'm mad. But that is nothing compared too what I think of them driving a H*lden.

Thumbs up Re: Nice 'n' Low

My springs creak and moan at low pace, its to do with lowering the car, put it this way, its not just your springs...

I have pedders extreme coilovers front (9kg/mm spring rate) (lower 1.7 inches) Custom king springs rear (8 kg/mm spring rate) (lower 2.5 inches) Koni adjustable rear shocks, urethane all round, camber kit front and rear (more front, less rear) Whiteline 32mm adjustable front swaybar, Whiteline 27 mm rear swaybar, and my bump stops have been halves, I dont have any trouble with bottoming out, even on the standard 17's. But yes, it creaks and moans at low speeds and when I'm turning, besides that, its a very nice set up

Re: Nice 'n' Low

Thanks for the reply's. I feel a lot beter knowing that I am not the only one. Plus I am getting used to it now and I wouldn't want it any higher.

Re: Nice 'n' Low

i did exactly the same as you to my typhoon at wilkinsons, same price, same springs etc, a month ago. i had an annoying metal squeaking noise on my front left spring when going slow over kerbs, speedhumps etc. went back to them and they fixed it no problem...it was a small metal burr at the end of the coil that was very difiicult to see..they filed it down and no problem whatsoever now (they hadn't had that before, first time they'd seen it)....runs, handles and sits great...no noise or anything...couldn't be happier
Wilkinsons have done a few cars for me now and i found them to be good operators and good prices.
