XB351

Just go right over it before you take it home and i mean everything from the body and interior. Had a few problems with ours (green paint showing through the Rapid Yellow on the right hand front guard) Go through the interior and check the door trims and the dash had a piece of foam sticking out between the back of the dash and the bottom of the front windscreen common fault they tell us anyway turned out when they pulled the dash out to fix it the dash was cracked so they replaced that for us.

Had no dramas getting it fixed just a pain in the butt when ya pick up a new car and it spends a couple of weeks back inthe shop getting repairs done when it has 330k's on it.

Only reason we didn't take it back and say we want a new one was that the powertrain and engine was a Wednesday one bloody strong as you could feel the power when driving and went 225rwkw on the dyno no mods on it then.

Enjoy the car mate we do even though there were a few little hickups at the start.

Re: Pre-delivery on Typhoon !

Thanks for the comments, we are also getting a Rapid car. Can't wait to bring her home.

Funny story....on the test drive (not the one we are buying) my wife got pulled over by the boys in blue for a random breath test....after they came to terms with the fact the car had no front number plate as it had a trade plate on the back, they questioned us on why the brakes smelt so much.. lucky I jumped out of the drivers seat about 2 minutes earlier or they might not have been as forgiving.

We then took a GT on the same run (20km round trip) and the Typhoon felt stronger without a doubt.....my wife reckons the GT felt like her Mazda 6 sports only with more power....oh yeh I thought 122kw to 290kw...yep more power indeed.

Anyway with the choice of a GT or Typhoon, we went the Typhoon....will make a nice daily driver for my wife during the week.

Check all electrics too, my rear windows did not go up or down.

Re: Pre-delivery on Typhoon !

Check alignment of all doors and rear bumper.
Make sure the chrome exhaust pipes are aligned properly.

hehe..

As opposed to being built on a Friday, when no-one can be bothered and wants to go home.. Also bad is a Monday engine, when everyone has monday-itis and can't be assed..

Wednesday is the best day to get anything done!!
