Gents,
has anybody bought a new MK2 turbo recently????
as i am looking at buying one within a month and would like to know if there is any dealership in Sydney where I could get a good deal...
I am told that prices start at around $46K and go up from there!!
Does this sound right? Anyone got a better price than that? Please help..
Also, what is the pick of the gearboxes, auto or manual?

if i were you id try and hold off your purchase till after october as ford will be releasing the series 3 or mkIII falcon with the new 6 speed auto.
and knowing car dealers they will have some sort of sale to get rid of mkII falcons alot cheaper than normal.

A mate picked up a 2004 plated Mark II Turbo about a month ago for way less than list. Of course he didn't get exactly the options he wanted but is delighted with the deal.

the price seams about right for retail, i know that ford are running a program to try and sell alot for XR's before the new model comes out. My brother quoted me on one over here in WA for about $42k including all on roads + 12 months rego.

Good luck getting a good deal.......

i just picked one up like two days age! it's a ute $42k with a heap of extras, city ford were the cheapest, though i think for $5oo i would've been better to go with titan ford at pittwater rd. brookvale!

46k driveaway with minor options sounds right, i wouldnt pay anymore than 40k for a 2nd hand one.

I 2 am looking for a XR6T, cheapest I have found is $36.8k 04(mk1)11600km on it. But still waiting to see if the mk3 XR6T has the new 6 spd AUTO. The f6 and GT are getting it but not sure about the XR6T and XR8.

Ford are currently having a dealer bonus on XR6T's so it would be a good time to buy 1 as there is a pretty good discount.

I put deposit down on mine today, was $49k driveaway(well once it gets delivered in few weeks haha)
