Saw my 1st BA XR6 2day.

Hello every1. i was on my way home 2day when i drove past city ford in arncliffe (which takes me longer to get home, but its worth it) which is the same path i take ever since the BA was released. Anywayz driving past, i slowed down and saw this white beast in the display case. So i pulled ova and ran ova to see wot it was, and there it was a HOT SXC BA XR6 white in colour. I went inside to get a closer look. This thing is a beast, i was tempted to sit down, but it was just too good for me to sit in.

Anywayz i stayed in there for bout 10 min just lookin at it.

The only downside to all this moment was that during that time not even one sales man came up to me to see how i am and if i wanted any help or information bout the car. Ok im 18yo but that dont mean i aint interested in the car. To make matters worse another teenager walks in with his gran parents and boom up comes the sales man and rushes up to the ppl.

This has happend to me alot of times b4 here at city ford, and it really pisses me off.

anywayz sorry for boring u all.

OH YEH THE XR6 IS HOT AND IF U HAVE THE CHANCE GO HAVE A LOOK AT 1 AT YOUR LOCAL DEALER.

Must be something about the name of City Ford

Went into Melbournes City ford yesterday to have a look at their stock of used vehicles...

Not once did someone come up, but alas i had the last laugh when someone cornered me on the way out...

"sorry mate, you just lost a 20k sale, Im off to bayfords"

I saw a Blueprint XR6 turning ointo Darling Rd from Victoria Rd this morning. It was the first BA I've seen on the road since its launch. I only got a glimpse so I don't know if it was the Turbo or not.

yeah i went to have a look at one today, and these dealers where all hassling a older guy, who obviously wanted to get rid of them...

he said to go help the young prespective buyer over there, meaning me. None of them seemed interested in helping me, but i got a little sense of joy when i said to him, that i was very happy with my AU2, suddenly i got some attention lol.

I also saw my first XR6 in the flesh today. At berwick ford. White also. Dark windows. Non turbo :(. But it looked VERY clean and VERY sexy. I think on the right car, white with dark windows is an amazing combo.

Cant wait to see the XR cop cars!

If you think the looks are horn, wait till u drive one. All the hype that has been associated with XR6 Turbo's, and all the excitement, is not exaggerated. The car is the ultimate drivers car, blistering acceleration, superb handling and good stoppers. The dash layout of a night time is fantastic...blue & red instrumentation combined with blue surrounds of the stereo/air controls makes the inside look just as good as the out.
And the sound of the 6...you'de guess u were in a euro sports car!
I for one along with all the others was very very impressed. Now for the decision..6 or 8???

Yeah, sat in a BA today for the first time, very comfortable and very nice inside & out. And it was an XT for christ sake.
The seats IMO are fabolous !! Stereo sounds good too.
Also looked at an XR6, it was already sold ! What an horny car !!

I was driving through Geelong today and saw an Acid Rush XR6T parked in the side of the road. It looked absolutely fantastic. I'm so glad that I have ordered mine in this colour. This is one car that stands out! I liked the fact that the 'TURBO' badge really stood out too.
This was no doubt a pre-production car. Full Production for the XR6Ts starts next week, which is why you won't see one in the dealers yet. Apparently the BA is selling very well too. I think you have to wait till the new year now.

there was a BA Futura and a Ute today on display in the Mall at Maitland in the Hunter Valley, It was just meant to have its bonnet open and nothin else
but one of the carers had left the drivers door open so i took it upon myself to have an "explore" Sat in it and noticed; Great seats! and i just had to see the ICC in action so i booted up the stereo, my my...very good sound indeed, the interior was a real pleaser and what was even better, at any time there were 10-15 people surrounding the BA whilst the VY at the the other end recieved the 2 second attention of one person that i saw- looked up close at the VY and noticed its poorely engineered in the sense that i could fit my pinky between the bonnet and the grill! and also, bad line dynamics with the overall look, especially the jellybean roof, that has been forced by the holden designers to mesh with sharp angular hear & rear lights, I dont know what MOTOR were complaining about when they said there were no arm rests in the falcon cos i spotted on straight off when i looked in the back seat section- All up. the falcon looks neater, more in check with itself, and over all a more together car
