Just interested in the different types of mods people are applying to their turbos, the power gains achieved, any problems or other information etc. Currently I have the CAPA edit but before i get the custom tune am considering a intercooler upgrade, exhaust, blow off valve, heavy duty clutch, cold air intake and upgraded injectors and fuel pump. Wondering also if anyone has done similar mods to their t's and had issues with the big increase in horsepower. By that I mean has anyone had probles with the standard pistons, conrods etc after their mods. Anyway keen to see what people have been doing to their Turbos

Engine has not been opened and the car is making 245rwkw anymore than that and i will have to supply bigger injectors and if you do get some mods and the edit you should be thinking of getting bigger brakes as i feel the standard ones are just not up to pulling the car up with the extra power and torque the edit gives your car it's just awsome.
And if you do get the edit leave your traction control off as the new found power will destroy your CV'S as i found out man these things pull like a freight train with the edit.Hope this helps you out mate

How does traction control affect the edit, does it cut in alot???
After getting the edit fordy the car now has a shitload more torque 550-600nm and if you give the car a fistfull as i did to try out the new found power it must put to much strain on the cv's and i was tearing around the highways for 2 days having a ball but i forgot about simon telling me to drive with the traction control off so it my stuffup but it's covered by warrenty so no drama's there mate.
Under normal driving conditions it's not a drama but if you are going to put the pedal to the metal switch it off mate.From now on i'll just leave mine off and get into the habit of doing it everytime i get into the car as i can't help but give the car a little bit of stick as it is very injoyable to drive now.

Yeah i know Kristian well, he was the only that fixed some probs i had with my ute that no one else could, top bloke. Does he know you have the edit??
I just got mine edited, made 256rwkw custom tune, but runs out of fuel above 5000rpm, so I have to be gentle with that one. I need some injectors and valve springs and a retune. But I think the T5 has had enough, it feels all baulky now after about 100km of 585nm going through it.
Might just tone it down to a cutom 8psi instead around 230rwkw.
