1) Much cheaper insurance (I mean much cheaper)
2) Reliability - you lot who are tweaking those turbo's won't be happy with them in 3 years time; and
3) Resale - history shows that turbo models built by both Holden and Ford (yes - ford built a few with the XE Falcon) haven't had the sustained resale values like the V8.
Oh well, I suppose that for those who are short sighted and only want to get what they can out of a car in the short term should buy the XR6 Turbo... the flavour of the month.
Just on the insurance thing I'm paying $707. I wonder how this compares with the XR8 insurance.
BTW i was expecting to pay alot more and was surprised at the price.
(I'm 38, rating 1 for life and live in melbourne's eastern suburbs.)

Well said. The resale on XE / XF Turbos is low because they weren't factory fitment. Just look at the VL Turbo, the prices of them are well up there.
