hi all,
was at my tuner on the weekend sorting out my flatspot issue, turns out i needed to re gap, have no idea y it wasn't sugested to me when i did the flash!!
anyways............... my tuner said the flat spot was because of one of 2 things, need to re gap or .......... he says these turbos r machine fit, no gasket, so he says the bolts come a lil loose and air escapes therefore causing the beast to be a pony not a horse!

so my question is.... is it true? i'm only running like 235rwkw

oh yeh, on a diff topic, shoul i do exhaust first or injectors?

You must re-gap your plugs once the edit is put on that is why it is so important to get a custom tune with the edit. And if there is any leaks in the intake system to the turbo or the turbo itself you will lose a shitload of boost.

re gap to .8 to .85 if increasing boost.

muchluv how about you go back and read your post titled "got flashed" im pretty sure i told you about regapping your plugs then.......now your saying you need your plugs regapped. i was offering you advice from personal experience and trying to help a fellow xr6t fan. its a tad frustrationg when you offer sound advice to somebody and they ignore it then ask the same question again....anyways i hope you get your plugs regapped and get the problem sorted cause when there cars are running at there best they really are magic.....

ps if it was a turbo flange exhaust leak you would be able to here a "rattly" sound underload.....

pps get a good cat then injectors....by "most" accounts the stock xr6turbo exhaust besides the dump pipe and cat is a pretty good bit of gear.

pm extreme_f6 his wifes car has a stock exhaust (with an smb dump and cat i believe) and thats run a 12.2 quarter.....

i appresiate all ur responses but i think i didn't explain my question correctly............... lucus i did take ur advice and i did re gap!!! flat spot problem is fixed!! it idles a lil rough now but i'm happy with it!!

my question was is it possible for the turb to come loose like the mechanic suggested, i thought he was playin with me coz i'm not too mechi!!?

but i think my questions been answered......

you will also be down on boost if your turbo is loose because u wont get as much gas through you turbine housing. Maybe it might be worth taking the car to you local dealer and getting it checked if your still having problems. As for the rough idle maybe get the dealer to clean the throttle body while the car is there if you cant do it yourself.

Hows the car now that you had the tune done? did you get a rwkw figure??

210rwkw stock 232rwkw now, didn't check again after the re gap, should be the same though.
