Typhoon Edit with 3 inch dump pipe & Hi Flow Cat - Ford Forums

The Typhoon edit is all finished bar the dyno readings.
I picked it up yesterday afternoon with the dump pipe and cat fitted and it id just awesome, as it should have been from new. The T/C light will flash at 120 in 3rd when its nailed. There is no lag, no pinging, nothing except a complete necessity to ensure that you are pointed exactly where you want to go when you nail it. Absolutely awesome. I have put a considerable investment into getting the edit spot on and Simon has put in a lot of R&D time. As far as we know it is the only completed Typhoon edit in the country and if any owners out there want a Typhoon that performs like it should I would suggest you contact GT-P 330. Now the car is an awesome beast and I am happy AT LAST. I would be so bold as to say that at the moment it is the quickest thing I've ever driven, so much so that after a run last night my better half (apparently) refuses to get in it ever again. Bearing in mind this is the same girl who enjoys speed and has been in my Unichipped BA Turbo and also hurtled across the Nullabor in The Boss with a Unichip, that is quite a statement and also extra peace and quiet for me.

Mate the Grey Ghost has been done with real time tuning thus far, to get the base edit program perfected for the Typhoon, however the dyno sheets will be available next week. Now I know why you were so wrapped with your car, mate these things are awesome to

When ive tested doc's car in all conditions and am totaly happy i will be supplying dyno graphs.

WHen you did your car did you change injectors ect?

Mine I had injectors, unichip, zorst,cold air intake.

And Doc now you know why i love my car so much now i have to wait fot the aps edit to what it can do with the unichip.

Yes mate I know exactly what you mean. We had another play tonight and Holy Jesus does the thing go now. Still want that clutch done though. Once the engine management gets some freedom the Typhoon definately deserves its name in every way

Simon can you tell us anything about the F6 map compared to the XR6T map?
Like the cam timing for instance
Boost is already up
What is different between to two and how much influence can you have on the cam timing and what gains can we see from it?

I’m thinking along the lines that greater gains can be made with the F6 engine with its IVCT than could be made with the STD XR6T

Good to see someone having a go at the F6 in this way as all the other Big players have been conspicuous by their absence.

Who said there was No Tuners in WA?
