Like the cam timing for instance
Boost is already up
What is different between to two and how much influence can you have on the cam timing and what gains can we see from it?

I’m thinking along the lines that greater gains can be made with the F6 engine with its IVCT than could be made with the STD XR6T

Good to see someone having a go at the F6 in this way as all the other Big players have been conspicuous by their absence.

Who said there was No Tuners in WA?
There are lots of differences between the 2 in areas to do with cam timings and spark with cam timings, spark adders ect. They havent just added boost thats for sure!. EG Typhoon runs more cam advance in areas to the XR6 T at given load points.

Re: Typhoon Edit with 3 inch dump pipe & Hi Flow Cat

Good stuff guys, Glad to see the F6 has made you happy again Doc! Would be very interesting to see the figures for the beast now. It sounds like you are thinking it is Quicker than your GT Doc? Would be nice to see some 1/4 times for these things and maybee make some people eat there words!

Simon, have you seen some good improvements on the XR8's with the flasher? Met up with a guy in Syd today who has flashed his XR8 and changed the rev to 6300rpm, he is really impressed but mainly by the improvements of the Auto, will us manual drivers benefit as much?

CHeers guys

Hey Boss 8.
Simon is 100% correct, The Boss wouldn't have a hope in hell of catching the Grey Ghost in any gear at any speed, a lot of the probs with mine have also been an incorrect wastegate setting above 3500 rpm courtesy of FPV so there has been a glitch in the car all along. That has been well and truely sorted. I had to take my better half out for her birthday dinner last night and she was blown away by the 2nd to last edit. With the latest edit on board I hit the freeway on ramp and bought up the chimes in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and she was completely speechless, which as you can imagine has all sorts of incremantal benefits. The performance just keeps on getting better, one final tweak this afternoon and she should be done, although Simon will want to keep on dabbling so he can keep on driving it. If FPV were half smart they would statt ignoring their restriction boffins and get people from the real world to power up and test these cars, then they would go like they can from the start. After experiencing the cars edited capabilities, the stock Typhoon could be well described in comparison as a marathon runner with a wooden leg
