Good to hear the custom tuned EDIT is performing well. Dyno chart? RWKW?

Now we have to wait for FMC to bugger around. But as you know with the standard clutches even at standard power its more a matter of when than if.
Cars go bloody well with good power in them though.
Cheers

I was very surprised to see how well the stock Typhoon clutch has performed to date Doc, maybe there is some performance variance from clutch to clutch in the Typhoon, in any event Doc I hope FPV get your clutch sorted quickly.

Cheers Peter.
Yeah mate I think its really just luck of the draw. Mine hasn't actually had a hard time considering what I've seen some go through and because I was aware of the issue I've been as nice as possible to it. The real problem is that there is no temp fix and the FPV guys are scratching their heads in confusion I think. And to think that all it really would take is a call to Mal Woods, funny how a small Qld concern can sort in a couple of days what a huge company like Ford can take all that development time then not quickly fix what they couldn't get it right in the first place. However I'm over it now and have accepted that its the clutch and not the car.

hey Doc
if this is going to be an ongoing problem maybe its worth it to just fit the Mal Wood's setup now as the Ford fix may not cope to well with the extra boost anyway

Hi Rod
I spoke to FPV today and put it to them that they just supply and fit a Mal Woods jod and I sign a disclaimer, then I spoke to Mal and he said he hasn't had a Typhoon to develop the sizings yet, he said he was going to put a post on asking if any Typhoon owners were interested in some development work, if I still lived in Bris I'd be there like a shot because if his Typhoon clutch turns out even half as good as the one I got for the GT I think it will be problem solved. So for him to develop a clutch he needs a G/Box and I don't think there is much hope of getting FPV to send him one, which is a pity because he could solve the entire problem in a day .
Meanwhile the official word from FPV as of this morning is if they break just park em up and take a loaner (not an FPV either) for god knows how long, because they don't have much faith in the temp fix so they won't supply any clutches to the dealerships .
This is its not a dealer issue but they seem to be the ones copping it on the chin while in the meantime the show goes, the car sits in the dealership workshop and FPV should know what they are going to do about the whole sh!tfight sometime around mid 2006 unless someone in there can get the communication happening between themselves, the dealers and the 100 or so customers who's clutches are on the edge .
I'm over it all now, the feeling of novelty went the same way as the clutch and I figure that one day the thing will be drivable. Meanwhile I'm not to sure about the BA Classic 04 runout I got to drive. I can't quite see $70,000 in it myself, but they have given me a bloody good deal on a N/A XR6 and a new Focus

Nw that's the spirit Doc, just install a nice twin plate and then enjoy the Typhoon, it really is an awesome car once sorted correctly.
