Typhoon Gauges

G'day All

Anyone out there know whether the boost/oil press gauges and pod from the Typhoon are available as a spare part?

If not, has anyone heard of someone making an aftermarket replica of the binnacle?

Cheers

Cheers for that...Just picked up my "T"...Time to fancy it up a bit.

Any thoughts on which aftermarket gauges match well with the factory cluster?..Kinda hard to tell from online pics, and not much of a choice in performance shops where I am.

Any advice from people who have gone down this road would be greaty appreciated.

Also, any idea of max oil press?

Cheers

Re: Typhoon Gauges

The Typhoon Pod for the Gauges is VIN protected so you need a Typhoon/GT VIN# to order them, of course there are ways around that with some friends. I went for the original Typhoon pod then added Nexus Autometer Gauges which when set on Blue are almost a match for the dash lights. 1 Picture of the gauges, and a blurry one taken on the road to show the colouring.

Regards

Nice 1 MG thats exactly what I had in mind.

If there are any good "friends" out there who wouldn't mind lending a lowly XR owner their 'foon VIN, or even making the purchase, I'd love to hear from you

Cheers

Re: Typhoon Gauges

Turbs: The Nexus Gauges come with their own computer and sensors which are fully electronic, I am not sure of the wiring for those but can get more information if needed. One small point they need to be wired into constant power, not through the ignition.

Xcfalc: I have seen the Typhoon pods come up for sale on some other forums as well as on Ebay, they are definitely out and about, of course asking a friendly Typhoon or MKII GT owner can help.

Regards

M G

Looks great the Typhoon Pod looks the best but the Gauges are useless if you want to know anything from them, the Phoons gauge pod with Aftermarket Gauges is the way to go.
