As long as they're prioritising you and you're happy. Nice of the DP to do that too. Although I would expect him to be giving you premium sound/brakes for Easter!! :hy:
Well atleast your insurance claim is getting paid out and you get some free chocolate on the lighter side of things. A replacement car will never be as good as the original mate, but atleast your getting one back! Congrats
Tim
PS. Hope this doesn't happen to you again or to anyone at all.
Just imagine how the DP must be feeling, not only is bad to have a customer car pinched, by one of your own is very disturbing. Very possible by someone still working there! Would be giving him many a sleep-less nights i'd imagine, esp with an insurance/police investigation!!
Well, blow me over with a feather! Looks like what I said is true eh? Be nice, be understanding, and they will look after you. I guess you are referring to Jerry visiting which is an absolutely awesome thing to do. I am indeed impressed (AP looks for choc eggs in back of Pursuit..... DOH!)
Funny thing is I said in the other thread how I wouldn't want to be the person who had to call you when it went missing. Having spoken to the person who did I am now ULTRA-SURE (TM) on that!:twitch: I am sure all of us would like to know where that damn car went and get our hands on the person who nicked it (I vote for repetitive shooting of the genitals with an air rifle).
It seems City Ford are looking after you and at the end of the day you'll have a new car and all will be forgotten. If you get withdrawals ask Jerry (the DP) to take you for a run in his Citric Acid GT-P...... Of course I'd take you for a run in the Pursuit if you get REALLY desperate - we're all family here right?.
Or you could say you need his GTP for the weekend due to some prearranged item (wedding or some such thing) that you would have used the turbo for...... the only problem with this is you may regret getting back into a turbo again....
I thought it was a Turbo because i couldnt see the car where he parked it.
lolol
He may have been too scared to park it in my driveway, i would have given him the futura for a few months and asked him how he feels with the swap they put on me.
I wonder if he is paying it off?
lolol
The action is about to begin.
I have a letter i will be dropping off that will give ford instructions to get my new car to me ASAP.
I hope they are nice enough to present me with a extra option so then i can turn around and tell you guys how great they were!
I just heard... friend of a friend, that this guy is receiving toll fines every week.
As in his car is being driven by the theives or by whoever they sold it to. Still running it original number plates and always on the M2 and not paying the toll !!!!. Times of offences vary but always on the M2.
Mate if this is true.. this is truely shocking. A stolen car circulating on the streets... although it's not the first time I have heard of it. Tsk tsk. I feel sorry for you mate. They take your car then have the audacity to drive it and lastly NOT GET CAUGHT!!! How about you post your number plates here or something and maybe someone might see it???? Just a thought??
If the bit about them driving around with the original plates is true:
1. How stupid are the thieves?
2. How stupid are the police?
Does anyone else wonder how this could happen?
Or are you all like me - ie you realise that the real role for police officers is to catch people speeding by more than 3 km/h (or whatever the limit is in Sydney these days), instead of actually fighting crime.
I mean, how hard would it be to find out the toll booth/camera where this car is not paying and station a police car there? Guy goes through toll, police pull him over! Easy! Even if the cops have to stay there for 8 hours, surely that effort is worth recovering a stolen car?
damn if i was the owner I would be finding out what toll area they are hitting and find the pattern and be there when the bastards are there. Run the farkers off the road. Easy enough! Obviously the police are as dodgy as the criminals.
As I have been always told.... PEOPLE STEAL BECAUSE ITS SO EASY..
My mate had his car stolen and it was re registered a week later with no hassles! The guy was even driving it in the same suburb from where he stole it!! Same VIN number and new number plate with little changed to alter appearance. Police couldn't find the car and by chance my mate saw him. Stopped him at the servo and rang the cops to come get him.
Where is this revenue all going??!!?! Definately not to the RTA or the police!
I agree 100% with Lunatic SVT!
I heard that they go through the outside lane but at all hours of the day so the only pattern is the toll gates.
/me sends email to police station " Sit at M2 toll gates and wait.. eventually you'll see a friggen XR6T run through the outer lane.... they arent THAT common yet!". If that isn't a lead I don't know what is!?
:box:

How happy would you be to have a police car sitting there for up to 8 hours a session on the *chance* that a stolen car may go past?? We talk about wasted police effort in catching people speeding by negligable amounts but this is worse!
Like it or not, the devastation of having your car stolen is not felt by the courts. A lot of pursuits of stolen cars get terminated because it's not worth the risk to life and limb as when they get to court they get a bond or a suspended sentence.

I agree to a point xa but if a known stolen car is going through a set of toll gates on a regular basis then the chances of catching them are great are they not? It's not like the car was seen once in Perth then again in Canberra.
They have broken the law by stealing the car and are re offending by going through the same toll gates and doing the runner on a constant basis. Should they just let them off on the chance that it may lead to a chase and cause damage or catch the bastards and give the owner some closure??
These guys flogged this car and now because of them the owner is recieving warnings for not paying a toll which the theives are using. Should the owner have to go through this hassle or should they stop the theives? I know which one I'd pick.
Now i am just appaled that anyone would agree with me on that. hehe. Seriously. I would have a sit down myself and wait for it. Sit on the side of the road and wait. IF you dont want to go and run them off yourself I would get a high powered rifle and shoot out the tires.....actually I would shoot the driver, but that is not PC and everyone at this point think i am too anti-PC so I wont recomend that.
here are a few things you can do.
If you see the car you can
1. ram the bastard off the road.
2. Shoot the car tyres, if you can get a nice rifle or shotgun.
3. Shoot the person driving, but then you have a bloody mess in your car. More clean up. Yes the NON PC OPTION
4. wait and wait and when you see the bastard get the description of driver, follow behind at safe distance and use mobile to contact police. giving direction, speed, location and whatever else they need.
Personally I would do the shooting of the idiot. but i am just a *******, bastard, hick that is so backwards that i probably should be licing in a trailer. Atleast that is what i have been called on here.

Sick of pansy arsed liberals that think that slapping on the wrists will cure anything.

I'd say I love you, but that might be a bit unprofessional
It pisses me off that cops would rather sit around with a radar gun than actually go fight crime. But as said, I spose it's not worth it, the're only going to get a slap on the wrist.
