Re: warranty void !!!! Sorry mate!!!

you guys know the risks when modifying your cars under warranty so dont complain when you get caught out. why should the manufacturer fork out for a repair when the damage has been caused by someone else. I for one am getting tired of hearing people complain about Ford trying to spy on people to see who is modifying their cars. If people weren't so dishonest by trying to put things back to standard to get away with it Ford may be a little more lenient. So in short, you modified it, you knew the the risks so get over it Period.

If you can't afford it????? Don't modify it! Hence why I don't play with late model cars.

Well yes, we do have FMC members on this site. They are intitled to be here like anyone else. It must be painful having to cop a loss like that, but as harsh as Moses sounds, he's got it in one.

I've found Ford to be more accommodating than others in their policies but in the end the choice is there for all of us to make. Also be guided by your dealer and let them organise the additional components if they will. Anything they won't support is the biggest risk IMO.

Re: warranty void !!!! Sorry mate!!!

That's not good news at all.......Maybe this is why FPV upgraded the conrods with the F6 Typhoon. Tests must have shown problems and they only went to 270kw. Can you let us know what mods you did and what kw's were achieved.......Hopefully we can learn from your misfortune.

You can buy brand new short blocks for 2k so either you are getting ripped off or you're making this up. Didn't you post a similar thread a couple of months ago, possibly on another forum.

Re: warranty void !!!! Sorry mate!!!

I read in another post you had a 'Stage 2' kit promising 290rwkw, of which you made 255rwkw. Which tuner was this? I can't remember anyone doing such a kit, especially with a 'flasher' unit...??

Closest is Nizpro, there Stage II makes around 300rwkw+ running only 14 psi, hardly enough to throw a rod.

just got my ute back from my stage 2 re-tune due to going slower at the drags despite showing more power to find out that the blades or turbine fins look like they have taken on a few bits of gravel and lost!,,,,,,dents and bits missing about the size of pin heads on the edges of impeller,,,,,scratches and pit marks to housing aswell,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,lost 30 rwkw in two weeks from last tune,,,,,,,,builds up boost slowly ,doesnt hold, then drops at 5000rpm,,,,,,,,,,,,,any clues on what caused this and where the bits of impeller has gone?
what was the stage II kit ?
