my dealer rang me today to say that my baby was finished at ford-it now has to go next door to fpv.Anyone know what do they do there? do they have to fit turbo motor ????? he didnt seem to know so i thought someone here might

We visited the FPV factory last week and asked this question. l was told that FPV fit the turbo and manifolds, intercooler, piping, and the heatshielding. Probably a few other minor bits l forgot to mention. The basic engine is obviously fitted on the Ford production line, but not the turbo which l found suprising. If you have options such as sunroof, 18"s, premium brakes etc then these too are done by FPV.

The XR8 also goes to FPV to have heatshielding fitted, and something else fairly minor that l cant recall. Bloody Alzheimer�s!

fpv fit the fpv badge, but apparantly it takes 2 months for the glue to set , so dont be to impatient..

I do know that the turbo manifold requires a different exhaust and also the manifold and peripherals are considered too difficult and/ or hazardous to do on the normal line (manifold alone weighs 8kg or so). Besides FPV developed the turbo rig and are best placed to finish it off.

As for the XR8 I believe the minor work is/was the air intake pipe/ cone etc.
