I have a 2 month old xr6t ute with 4000 km on the clock that i am fairly happy with so far! Only real problem so far is a ute liner that started to warp a little bit and is being covered by warranty. Can anyone help me with advice on when can i put it on a fully synthetic oil? What brand and grade is the best, ive heard different opinions on this, 0w40 or 5w50??

I was about to ask the same one, I would like to use Castrol if I can because I am a Castrol distributor and can get it at a good price, please advise.

I think most people are saying to do at least 10000km before going to a syn oil, I use Penrite Syn 5 .

guys I use the shell helix ultra the one in the blue bottle is semi syn and is 15w -50 which is what ford recommend I wouldnt do a different rating from what i`ve read the 15w is very inportant in protecting rhe top end.

Castrol Formula R 10w-60 would be the way to go.
