Hi guys, new here and wasn't going to post yet, but feel I have to.. Long post, but worth a read.
Here's the story. I have a Tornado on order from fomoco.
As of March 1st, all XR utes are available with a Luxury pack option. The option is also available to Pursuit drivers. $2995 and includes Leather trim and Colour ICC with dual zone climate..
No chance of getting it in the Tornado, as told to me by 13FORD. Not an option because the Tornado comes at a spec, and that spec does not include lux pack option, well neither did XR till now!!
I cannot contemplate how such a poor marketing decision was made.. HSV put a premium engine in it's lineup to protect it's sales for 18 months. Why on gods green earth would Ford make such a poor decision.
If the Tornado is not a Premium product, why charge accordingly. This just dumbfounds me.
I was originally going to buy an XR6T and put the ICC in afterwards, as it can be done. This was when it wasn't an option, now it is.
I am now contemplating cancelling my order unless the Premium ICC with colour screen and dual zone climate can be fitted.. Will speak to dealer to clarify, but I don't like my chances.
Problem is, my agreement with car allocation doesn't allow XR6T to be purchased and modified for performance.
What would you do?

Ok, for a start, the lux pack (premium sound, climate air etc ) was available on XR's (sedans at least) from about July last year .... before Mk2 spec anyway.
The Tornado, like Typhoon has climate air, premium sound and colour ICC std anyway. Leather is an option, yes, but having compared them side to side with the cloth trim, the cloth wins. Its also simply more comfortable IMHO.

fpv f6T I think you have your specs wrong as the F6 tornado does NOT have the Premium....
And its a discrace...........................

What Headache is complaing about is the same thing I am and that being the Premium audio system with colour TFT display screen, 6-disc in-dash CD, 6 speakers, is NOT an option in the Tornado but is now an option in the XR "UTE"
Absolutely unbelievable that you can have it in the XR Ute but not the FPV F6 Tornado Ute?

Who would buy one of those?
Sound great and thats about it! i suppose its the Super in it that gets the Premium over the STD Pursuit but you can get it in an XR bloody 6 or 8 and not the F6.
