XR8 compared to a HD... dunno Jim...

My XR8 has brakes, it goes around corners, it starts and it doesn't leak oil.

But by all means compare it to my 2 tonne delivery truck, infact performance figures, handling and seat size are identical.

Re: Why the XR6T over the XR8?

I would have purchased an XR8 if i could have afforded one, but i couldn’t so i got an XR6T. I'd love that V8 rumble and bonnet bulge. But i still like my T.

Its easier to tell which is the XR8,XR6 & GT.
Because the XR6T's will be way out in front...

Re: Why the XR6T over the XR8?

I wonder about longevity. Which one will still be burning rubber and which one will be just burnt out.

It's all fair and well to say that one is faster than the other now but time will tell which one becomes the collectable and which one becomes the forgetable.

cult car or c**t of a car ?????

I can smell the burnt out and tired turbos already.....................................

The New FORD GT in the states runs a Alloy block 5.4L, Quad cam Supercharged V8, based on the Modular V8 (ie BOSS 260/290) where the "blower" sits in the "vee" so its a relatively low intake. It's grunty enough at around 500 hp, so a slightly de-tuned or iron blocked version has GT-HO written all over it!
