Has anyone seen the write up in the latest Zoom mag? They bought one of the first 10 Turbo utes last year and are getting into modififying it as much as they can, but still keeping it legal. Rock stock and with only 500k's on the clock they got 190kw's at the rear wheels....Impressive stuff and a bloody good read. No rice-boy shit, just good technical info.
You will find that the car in question is owned by martin donnon, aka street tuna, he has posted on this forum before, and it has plenty more than 190 atw now up around 270kw atw with much more room for climbing, he said they want 500kw, as a matter of fact he was taking it for its first run down the strip some time around now, wonder what numbers he got?? A little off topic but I have been reading on another web site a guy currently has an r33 GTR with around 1300 (rumoured) fw hp (has been dynoed at the wheels at 500 kw at all 4 wheels had to stop cause the dyno is only capable of measuring to 500) he mentioned he ordered 2 XR6T's for development purposes i wonder where he is at with them? anyone know of the highest dyno figures attained by an XR6T ??
at our dyno day held ~2 months ago, it pulled 270Kw at the wheels.
Was going in for RTA approval that folllowing week. They were calling it the "Stage One" Tune.
Stock Exhaust, Oil Cooler, Piggy Back ECU, 9 psi (i think) and a few other bits and pieces. Quoted prices were ~6 grand (another 'i think') could be getting my prices mixed up. At that stage the kit wasnt for sale but that was the figure they were looking at (i think)
im guessing your referring to mario @ exvitermini? was those dyno figures his xr6t's or someelses cos last time i checkd he bairly had time for the r33. btw check the page again, its nearly ready to run again..........
Yup, Mario's done some wild things and he will be running next week i think?? GTR 700 is going to be at Melb Auto Salon this year. I am not sure about his XR6 t's no news as far as i can tell, Think ill drop him a line and ask the question.
