Oh and not trying to put a damper on the excitement but you all do realize that is $7,500.00 in mods .....
I personally think its a great technological advancement for the motoring enthusiasts , dont get me wrong but your playing with almost $50k + worth of fun here, - that would give you about 350 bhp @ the wheels ,... and seriously give you no insurance to boot , - choose carefully luke - then buy an XR8

$7500 bucks for an approx. 70-80 rwkw gain. Sounds like a reasonable amount to me.

Agree insurance could be a problem, but if you have a good driving record and some age behind you, then it wont cost to much more than standard.

I would have to agree with Mongrell on the price issue of this kit. Capa do some nice supercharger kits for the AU and many others. Under $6500 for a full kit on a VCT XR6 and they quote 270 kw. Didnt see whether it was rear wheel or not but the kits look very factory and the blower obviously is supplied. I'm not knocking the kit for the XR6 Turbo but just thought it is a bit pricey. The stage 2 may get stratospheric especially when beefing up gearboxes etc is done. But on the other hand those with the money are going to have fun looking at Skylines in the rear view mirror.

Prices CAPA quote are not fitted and tuned. Chuck that in and the 7500 for the Turbo gear is looking mighty fine.
