XR6T production

I may have jumped the gun with those comments I made but given I heard it from an engineer I thought it was kinda beleivable given I have only seen pre produciton XR6t's on the road. You can't say it was a little suss that no customer deliveries had taken place!!! Glad you could clear it up though Geoff.

Unless your brother has been given an exact Dec date, I doubt very much that he will get it then. I ordered mine 13/09!!! and have to wait till last week of Nov if not later! This was before any of the magazine tests or anything, before the rush of orders. I think Feb is a more likely expectation. Dealers can spin some rubbish. :- )

I didn't sign anything cause they told me I gotta wait till end November, wasn't happy with that! 2 dealers said the same date, November.
If they think people will wait till Feb they're joking.

I believe you are correct ayman. I think either the dealers are telling people Nov so they won't refuse to buy a car, or they just plain have no idea. There is no way that you will get an XR6T this year if you order one now. FACT! Ford have way too many orders to complete in under 2 months.

I get so frustrated when I read comments from all these experts quoting "FACTS" or "an engineer told me" or other bullshit.
As Geoff said we are all working flat out not only building turbos but also Barra 182kw
Success and public demand for BA to date has exceeded all expectations (IMO) and we have been caught (slightly) with our pants down (so to speak)
Actions are in place to increase production to enable us to reduce delivery times and meet the demand for this winner of a Falcon.

thanks all for listening, I feel better now.
ps. I had better get to bed now, so I can get some sleep before heading back tomorrow (oops today) to build some more 182's and turbos!
Good night.

Gotta love the ovetime. Have fun at work. Alot of us at Rexxys are working overtime and Saturdays too becasue of all the Pre-deliveries required to get all the cars out. The car park where we store all the cars is chockers!

None of this makes a lick of difference buddy. What I said is correct. I realise Ford are making as many cars as possible, I wasn't having a go at Ford. As I stated before, there is no way you will get an XR6T this year of you order now!

Thanx for all the post people. My brother has no problem with waiting and he will even wait for even for next year but, i was only speaking for the benefit of Ford. This car will be remembered and be famous for a very long time. Thanx Geoff making such a car as a XR6T for us people. So far so good, the car has gain a quit popularity in a short period.
