ca18det TRX The reason for the delays is that they have not been able to pass the demanding 300hour engine dyno durability test. They are close but they havn't got it just yet, hopefully they should have the problem resolved soon and the XR6t's will be in full production.

Yeh, I read that too. It was at www.imakeupshit.com
Cmon, get real.

mmmm.. yes. The only current problems were the transmissions. They needed to be strengthened in order for Ford to be comfortable with releasing the Turbo. I live in Geelong and have seen hundreds of BAs, still not 1 turbo. Only 2 pre-production cars.

IF the dealer says your going to get it at this time, then its his/her word and your going to get it that time, otherwise the shits going to hit the roof.

Im sure all the Ford team are burning the soles of their shoes from running about trying to get everycar made and delievered as quick as possible.

Stop throwing around facts and engineer says crap, thats all it is CRAP!

Geoff - why didnt Ford use the TR3550 in the XR6T or at least make it an extra cost option?

Or better still have an upgrade pack that includes the 03 Mustang T56 6speed box, 270kw engine (without torque limiting) & premium brakes.

Remember most sports cars run 6speed manuals these days - ranging from HSV to Honda to even Hyundai. Though its more an issue of gearbox durablity. I am sure there will be some people who would rather save a few $$ and go for the T5 but for the people who want the stronger box then there should be that option.

Anyone who has purchased a couple or even 1 new car knows that without paperwork, eg SIDO number etc, you can't really take the dealers word. I know it sounds harsh but its true. They will reel off story after story to why your car hasn't arrived yet. I'm speaking from experiance here, which is why I got the SIDO for my XR6T which is due for delivery on Nov 21. I still believe that early / mid Dec is a more realistic time, again speaking from experiance, and knowing about the hold ups in production of XR6Ts due to trans issues.
I ordered on Sept 18 (before any articles or tests/before the rush of XR6T orders),
my car will arrive late Nov or early Dec (most likely).
This is the reason why I believe there will be a huge wait. I don't claim to know everything. You do the math for yourself buddy!

so your saying that as you ordered yours on the 13th of Sept. that the people who ordered theres 2 to 4 weeks later will have to wait till feburary. You said yours is meant to be delivered on the 21st of nov, so that means persons who ordered theres 2 weeks after you did, will get theres 2 weeks after the 21st of nov, people who ordered recently should get theres between the 21st of dec to probably early janurary.

Im doing the maths and thats what i come up with. Pretty simple maths also, but it also depends on how many cars have been ordered in between those dates. Your car could get rolled out mid dec, whereas someone else might get theres mid nov, its all luck of the draw so to speak. Theres alot of IF's and BUT's being thrown around.

I could order and XR6t today and get it delivered before you, some people might drop out of the list and i ordered exactly the same car as them.

Im not trying to stirr you, and sorry to moderators if i have gone overboard again, things change and they dont always go your (everyones) way.

But it's not random. He has his SIDO number, which means his car is manufactured/in the process.

What? Luck of the Draw? Rubbish! You have obviously never ordered a new car. It's first in best dressed I'm afraid, unless someone has cancelled an order. In this case they try to match the car to another potential buyer or sell it off the lot.
If you bothered to read my previous posts and knew what this thread was about, you would see that I only commented that someone who ordered NOW won't get their XR6T till next year. I never spoke about 2 or 4 weeks after my order. Rubbish! again.
This is why I asked the guy if he had a SIDO number ( not that you probably know what that is anyway ) because without that, you really aint got shit sunshine.
