I think the real issue here is that you watch Mclouds daughters!! but seriously rainy has a point - it will only be a matter of time before the bulge bonnet is fitted to every second P-plater ba XT - having said that i would have just bought the 8 to start with.

Personally,i would'nt do it but each to there own
I think a shaker on an XW or XY is accepatable especially when the engine is still a v8, its only when you see them on HQ holdens and commodores when its sad(yes i've seen it).

As for the XR8 bonnet on an Xr6 i wouldnt do it unless you seriously needed it to clear intercooler piping or some other mod as just for cosmetics cant say i agree.

Re: XR6 Ute with XR8 Bonnet

Like what Fordy has said it's ok to have the shaker on the V8's but not on six's or something that just dosn't suit, there were a few car's around my area with the shaker's just stuck on the bonnet with no hole or conection to the engine, absolutely shocking.

Re: XR6 Ute with XR8 Bonnet

Agree flavze,

Each to there own! I would definately buy an xr6t with bonnet bulge - looks very nice on xr8! I think it just adds that toughness look and the xr6t is one tuff car.

Re: XR6 Ute with XR8 Bonnet

rice rice and more rice .....
V8 + bulge = what it is
XRT+ bulge = what it isn't = rice

next we'll be talking about sticking a red 8 where the 6 was because it looks good... absolute rice ...

What about a bulge on a V8 BA XT/Fairmont etc?

Not if thats the only mod, for instance a bog stock BA with nothing else done to it except the bonnet wouldnt go, but if it was dumped with a few engine mods and a real tuff stance then it would suit it the same as it suits old non xw xy gts.

A Shaker on anything except a XYGT is wrong IMO. Same as a buldge bonnet on a non XR and GT. Whatever came out of the factory is what I agree with.
