has any XR6T owners taken there car to the drag strip yet
after reading the times posted in some of the car mags the times seam a bit slow, considering the way people are talking about these cars
i have seen a few on the street, and they do look good but have never actually met 1 at the lights

The only thing you’re going to see once the traffic lights turn green are it's tail lights fading into the distance buddy. :s6:

lol!!! don't make the mistake of underestimating Jim!!! More than the odd person has and paid the penalty !!
I don;t think anyone has had their car long enough to have run it in yet jim ... so it will be a little time yet
Give it another month or so, the build numbers are starting to catch up now so there should be more appearing on the streets!
Or you could hassle Tuna ...

Clicky clicky here for previous ride! I still miss her!
i have seen one at the drags, the guy is from FF, the car had only about 1500km on it (who cares when you have a warranty!!!) and the best time i saw him do was a 15.3, obviously with traction problems in first and into second, i rekon i could have bettered his time but i didnt want to ask for a drive (would i let me drive if it was my car? HELL NO!!!) but he beat a turbo R32 skyline anyway!!
he told me he was having issues with launch, shift points and shifts etc which is resonable, i believe he had only had the car for a week at that stage.
there were some VT/X clubbies there and one or two Maloo utes, they were only managing between 14.5 and 15.5, i am inclined to believe that MOTOR and wheels do get 'special' vehicles to test by all manufacturers, as none of the late model cars there were getting down into the times that are claimed by MOTOR or WHEELS, all were a fair bit higher (as per HSV above) even some WRXs werent doing too well, like 14.8 and stuff...i saw a slightly boosted/exhausted 98 WRX get beaten by a VX clubbie with an exhaust...
but i did a 15.8, 15.7, the next run would have been a 15.6 but i didnt get to have another :(
