Well let me start by saying I am still smiling 24hrs later.

There I was sitting at the lights and a VX/VY Clubbie R8 pulls next to me. I did not think about running him but as he launched the sec the lights changed
I planted my foot further. I was in manual mode so went through the gears to 5600rpms. As he had a slight initial advantage, in 1st he was level with me but each time I changed gears I would edge further ahead. He would creep up on me slightly when he changed but just before hitting 4th he was clearly beaten!!!!
We both then backed off as our speed was getting exsessive. He pulled up behind me and stayed there in embarrasment.

Aren't they 260kw motors? All I have done with mine is drive it like I stoll it when running in (within reason) and fitted a custom second air intake. So I was / am might happy. Cannot wait to get a Stage II fitted.

Well done mate. Theres no doubt these XR6 Turbos are quick, and they'll only get even quciker with a bit more boost! Do you know if the Clubby was manual or auto?

Well done,

I had a VY R8 Clubsport pick on me not long after I bought mine. We were both heading through Goulburn. There was a BA GT behind me taking it easy and the R8 raced around him to get beside me. The GT turned off and this idiot in the R8 kept on carrying on, speeding up then slowing down beside me. I kept ignoring him as I had the girlfriend in the car. He continued this almost all the way to Canberra until finally I got the sh!ts and accelerated with him. After I edged ahead he gave up and wouldn't come near me for the rest of the trip. I even slowed down to see what he would do but he wouldn't pass me.
