Dudes, iwas down at the Geelong Speed Trials and saw Craig Lowndes drag a BA XR6T and pull a 15.5 et, what gives, i heard the anouncer on the PA say it was a Turbo but it sure didnt Boogie like one, then again it was probably 30-35 deg C that day which might have made the difference.
Was any one else there that saw or heard this drag

I allready made a thread like this. It was actually 15.1, and he managed a flat 15 in his Cortina!

The car had a full tank (I think), it had another passanger on board, It had a towbar, and yes it was 34 degrees which didnt help the turbocharged engine.

I had a good look at all the cars at the speed trials and wasnt this one of the speed trials promotional cars?
Well none of them were turbos and all were automatic!

i was at the speed trials and the 2 speed trials cars used for the pace car and the other promo car were both normal xr6's, but lowndes drove a turbo which was a manual, it did lack noise and speed which disappointed me seeing as i have one ordered! made me want to upgrade the excaust as soon as i get mine!

Which day were you there? Craig was down there Sunday when he drove a Phantom XR6 Turbo. It was manual too.

The speed trials promotional cars were white and decorated with sponsors.
