Re: XR6T BF - How Fast???

Razor, everyone has the fear first time. Most cars are pretty much stock at street meets. I drive 2 1/2 hours to my nearest track and I always give my cars a go in stock standard trim. That way you can get a real picture of how much faster your car is with any mods. There are plenty who will want to sell you a mod (eg intake snorkel) but have no performance benefit at all. My GT-P showed no change with an ss induction thingy, so was a waste of time and money. Feel the fear and do it anyhow!

[quote=RaZoRChak]One of the reason I don't want to take it to willowbank it's because I'll look like an idiot with a stock car Do many people take stock cars there to test? Also, how much is it? I might go after I get some mods.

Dont worry about it being stock
Ive seen an F6 get a laugh when he spun halfway down the track for a 14.9.
Your high 13 wouldnt get any giggle at all, go on wednesday night

Re: XR6T BF - How Fast???

haha rapid that sounds like my first time down willowbank in my f6 ran about that haha, dont be affried to take a stock car down guys, shit its a test and tune, test the car in standard to get a base line then mod it up and run her again to see how far from the base line you move, and it gives you a chance to do legal burnouts haha

So at the moment, just wanna know what the performance of my stock is, so I can compare later after mods.
Just go for a toodle at WIllowbank , first time I ran the EL wagon we went mid 16 secs , its had a turbo transplant since then and it's a little faster :)
at least then you will know how you do with mods.

Get a base first Razor, as has been said. Then you will know and learn how to 1/4 mile before you get some serious grunt. Practice makes perfect. have a look at xr6turbo.com
