XR6T - Damaged Dash
Does anybody know how to fix / or get a new replacement dash for XR6T. Damaged by previous owner drilling and glueing a phone holder to dash.
Been quoted $1,000 for new dash fitted. (Local Ford dealer)
Any suggestions ??

No idea mate, though i would have thought a whole new dash would be worth more than that?

Re: XR6T - Damaged Dash
There are places that specialise in dash repairs- I had an EB that was an ambulance with radio holes and I found a place in the yellow pages that applied a colour fill and matching texture. Better than the holes!

Re: XR6T - Damaged Dash
A lot of dealers get someone to plastic weld and match the holes- maybe talk to a dealer to see how they go about fixing it??

Re: XR6T - Damaged Dash
Where on the dash are you talking about?
If it is on the piece about the central air vents there is a good way of hiding it.

Re: XR6T - Damaged Dash
I saw an advertisment at Autobarn where the dash piece above the vents is replaced with the one that holds the oval analog clock from a Ghia. But instead of the clock there is an oval turbo boost gauge fitted.

Re: XR6T - Damaged Dash
I'll reply again as it seems my attachment didnt work.
If the holes are above the central vents you could always install on of these

try the repair option 1st, what state do you live in..
DASHBOARD DOCTOR is in some states make sure you get a guarantee how long the repair will last...
