anyone read this months motor magazine.

There is an article about modifying the XR6 turbo.

It claims that the xr6t in standard form has 15 more rwkw than the xr8.

Please Explain???????

There's a thread on this subject in BA Discussions about this called "Are the 260 Xr8 really 260kws"

As to whether the XR6T or XR8 are more powerful the jury's out until we see enough dyno tests of both stock cars from independent sources without vested interests. The figures in Motor are a little dubious as the source has an interest in the turbo looking good and the 8 bad. If they were selling V8 supercharging kits they would probably tell a different story.

Downrating either car is not going to help any of us as Ford customers and fans.

A dyno result that has just been added to the thread shows only 180rwkw but that's only at 120kph.

The one previous to that shows 195rwkw at 186kph from a stock engine and climbing. With supercharger about 255rwkw and about 290rwkw with SC and new exhaust.

I suggest if anybody has anything to add they add it to the other thread along with dyno results, as conjecture, hearsay and rumours are just going to start flame-wars.
