XR6T servicing
Hi all,
About to take delivery of my XR6T and was wondering whether anyone has had any experience or received opinion on whether the car should or can be run on premium oils such as the synthetics that are available.
I currently drive a shitbox VT which to its credit has been a great car, incredibly reliable given the distance it has travelled. I have always used premium oils in it and changed the oil/filter every 10,000 km and I am sure the engine would be good for at least another 200,000 km if the suspension would hold it up that distance. I would like to give the XR the same opportunity to last the distance so I seek your advice.
1. With the XR6T, what does Mr Ford recommend to use in the engine?
2. Can I or should I run premium synthetic oils?
3. Are there any additional servicing tasks that have to be completed on these compared to the non-turbo XR6 ie. do they cost more to service?
