Today i was at a taxi depot that the company i work for does insurance assesing.
In the back i noticed a nice looking yellow ba with a xr6 bodykit and rims on closer inspection and looking under the bonnet it turned out to be a xr6t.
From what the bloke told me ford gave him 6 of theese for a durability test or something like that, he also mentioned he was going to run them on petrol only it will be intresting too see what theyre like around 200,000km's or give or take 6-12 months for a cab.
As i frequent that taxi depot i will keep you all posted on how they're doing.

Why not, I have seen Stateman's and SS's in Melbourne used as Taxi's,but yeah it will be interesting to see how they perform in the near future.

They're 6 taxis i think I'd pay for a ride around the block in!

But it isn't a bad idea, being used as taxis they'll probably be given a hard time and will rack up the k's much faster than other buyers would.

yeah I saw a standard XR6 BA taxi in adel. yesterday... nearly cried... seems to be much more common in other states (esp. canberra for some reason) to see sportier taxis.

good idea though for reliability tests!

i thought Ford had a deal with the taxi industry whereby they would only allow BA wagons to be used as taxi's, as they don't want the BA sedan to be 'cheapened'.
