Ansvar is some company that only insures Non Smokers and Drinkers and are fairly cheap

I might be way out here, but I would imagine that the XR6T would be dearer to insure than the XR8. You might find that most places won't insure you unless you have things like Quicktrax etc. I know the WRX was hard to insure, the same might apply to the XR6T.
there's no real point comparing quotes on this basis, postcode can alter the premium by up to 300% or more.
a friend was quoted $1400 by ford insure today (on his XR6T)
- he said no thanks (already had a comparable AAMI quote)..
to his surprise the ford guy immediately dropped the insurance quote $200, thank you very much..
