I am a ford fanatic.. i am on my p's still for another year... but once i get my full license i will be getting either a xr6t or an xr8... i drive a au2 atm just exhaust rims and usual done to it...

what is the way to go .. the NEW TURBO OR THE CLASSIC 8?

you cant go past the potential of the Turbo, best bang for bucks out there. Ive got 2 of them and am loven every minute of it.

An XR8 behind a 6 speed manual (BA series 2 or GF) is one sweet thang, but the XR6T behind an auto is equally as good. If you love V8's the XR8 is hard to go past, but if your not fussed and just want performance I would go the T.

thanx for the advice people... but the thing with the xr6t is im worried about the turbo kicking in at only 2 grand.. and being harder to control opposed to the 8 having a constant power and only goin hard when u want it to...
does the xr6t turbo kick in very quick.. ?

The turbo come on very smoothy on a standard xr6t very easy and smooth car to drive.... you say your coming off your P's how old are you and what state are you in? Insurance will be a mutha if your under 25 and are you even allowed to drive either car in you state?.....

The boost does not come in too hard at 2000rpm. The 6 is better in every way (fuel economy, performance, hot up potential, handling, etc) than the V8 except for noise and the bulge. Go the T. We did and now want the phoon. It's addictive.

mate i got the ba xr6t and the turbo dont kick in that hard.. atm im lookign at gettin it wored to 300+ RWKW i been told its got around 190 at the wheels and 1st gear in it does kick a bit.. i raced my mates xr8 ute. pretty much the same all round only thing was he had alot more grip then i did i only spin in 1st. but i must say that the control on the ba's is unreal.. i have owned a ea and a worked el and nothing has handled liek the ba. i have the 5 speed though and i dunno if its different witht he auto or the 6 speed. but i have been told that the auto is awsome as well if not better.. anyways mate i have drivin the xr8 and xr6t and i love the feel of the turbo as it kicks in. but it really depends what you like, the xr8 dont get goot power till around 2 grand either. well that i have noticed on my mate xr8.. chears mate
