does an engine swap hurt or help resale?

I am somewhat ignorant about the model A. My grandfather has a 1932 coupe with a rumble seat. If i swap the motors and the numbers no longer match, will the apprasier deduct for it having a different motor, or will it be worth something having a new motor? I am going to do the job myself, what is the best manual you guys have used for engine swaps? How many hours am I looking at (I am car savy)? I looked online and am having difficulty finding a shop in southern california that can provide a motor and parts. Any help would be greatly appreciated, glad to be on the forum!

Re: does an engine swap hurt or help resale?

We can rebuild whatever motor you have, we're only a UPS truck away. But, a 1932 Ford is not a Model A so you'll need to figure out what you actually have before planning the engine swap. As for value, a running car is worth more than a car with the original (broken) engine in it. Look us up if you want to have your engine rebuilt. Gen III Antique Auto -Tim
